Scout: find paid creator work you actually qualify for

Scout is part of DUE. It helps you become ready for paid creator work, find public opportunities you actually qualify for, and pitch them properly. You review and send everything; Scout never contacts brands.

Scout is an optional research and qualification function inside DUE, not a requirement for running a collab. Scout never guarantees work; you approve and send every approach yourself.

The short answer

Scout is a function inside DUE with primary-source individual paid US creator calls and a separate AU/US platform directory. It compares stated requirements with your profile and labels your fit. It is not a search of the whole web and does not guarantee work. View public calls without an account; sign in to save, compare fit and prepare drafts you edit, approve and send yourself. Free during the pilot with 0% creator commission.

Individual paid US creator calls

Separate from the platform directory. Employer-posted creator openings, not guaranteed jobs or payments. Apply yourself on the original source after confirming eligibility. No applicant details are collected.

How Scout works

What is Scout?

Scout is a function inside DUE, not a separate product. It helps independent creators become ready for paid creator work, find public opportunities they actually qualify for, and prepare outreach properly. You need a free DUE account to use it.

I have no portfolio yet. Can Scout help?

Yes. The beginner path uses only what you tell Scout about your interests, strengths, preferred formats and on-camera comfort, and suggests three self-initiated portfolio briefs. These are practice samples you make yourself; they are not commissioned or paid work.

What does Scout use if I already create content?

Only links you are authorised to share and that are publicly readable, plus notes you write yourself. Scout does not sign in to your social accounts, read private pages or invent experience or performance figures.

Where does Scout look for opportunities?

Individual paid US calls come from permitted public employer feeds and job indexes, with each accepted primary listing rechecked. The separate directory retains Australia (7 public sources) and the United States (6 platforms). Platforms are not individual jobs. Sign-in-only marketplaces and sources prohibiting automated access are excluded. Listings refresh automatically twice daily; a signed-in manual refresh is also available.

  • AU · Mum Central — Paid Content Crew
  • AU · Creator Hub (CrowdSwell) — UGC campaign platform
  • AU · CreatorFlow — Creator platform
  • AU · TRIBE — Creator campaign platform
  • AU · Social Soup — Creator community and campaigns
  • AU · The Right Fit — Creator jobs marketplace
  • AU · Vamp — Invite-only creator platform
  • US · JoinBrands — US creator jobs platform (platform, not an individual job)
  • US · Trend — US paid content creator platform (platform, not an individual job)
  • US · Billo — US UGC creator platform (platform, not an individual job)
  • US · Insense — US creator partnerships platform (platform, not an individual job)
  • US · Jem Social — US creator campaign board (free profile to apply) (platform, not an individual job)
  • US · Backstage — US casting platform (paid subscription required to apply) (platform, not an individual job)

How does Scout decide whether I am suitable?

It shows the follower, portfolio, social and location requirements each source states, compares them with your profile, and labels the result Suitable now, Conditional, Not currently suitable or Unknown. A requirement the source does not state is never treated as met.

Labels: Suitable now · Conditional · Not currently suitable · Unknown.

What kinds of opportunity does Scout show?

Each result is classified as a confirmed paid opportunity or call, a paid creator platform, a speculative brand prospect, an affiliate (commission-only) programme or a gifted-only offer, so you can tell paid work from the rest.

  • Confirmed paid opportunity / call
  • Paid creator platform (not a specific brand campaign)
  • Speculative brand prospect (no confirmed demand)
  • Affiliate programme (commission only)
  • Gifted only (no payment)

Does Scout contact brands for me?

No. Scout drafts a personalised eligibility enquiry or pitch from your own profile. You edit and approve it, then send it yourself. Scout never contacts brands or platforms.

What happens when I win a collab?

Mark the opportunity won and connect it to DUE. It becomes one collab in DUE's existing workflow, where you keep the brief, deliverables, approval, invoice and payment follow-up together.

What does Scout cost?

Scout is free for creators during the pilot, with 0% creator commission. Scout does not guarantee paid work.

What about privacy and platform rules?

Scout reads one public page at a time, respects each site's robots rules and refuses pages behind a sign-in. Your Scout profile, links and drafts are private to your account. Follow each platform's own terms when you apply or pitch.

Where Scout fits in DUE

Bring collaborations from any source: Scout, inbound brand email, existing clients, creator outreach, Outlook, your dedicated DUE collaboration email or manual capture. You do not need to use Scout to run a collaboration.
